Clinical Skills and Theory Development

My Counseling Approach

My counseling approach is integrative and responsive to the unique needs of each client. Working within a family-based clinical setting, I draw from trauma-informed and relational models of care and incorporate evidence-based practices that support healing at both the individual and family level. My current work includes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic-informed regulation strategies.

I approach counseling as a collaborative process rooted in emotional safety, trust, and connection. Interventions are selected thoughtfully and adapted to each client’s developmental stage, cultural context, and relational environment. Whether working with individuals, children, couples, or families, my goal is to support meaningful change by strengthening relationships, increasing emotional regulation, and honoring both the impact of trauma and the resilience inherent in every client.
