Connection. Healing. Resilience.

Throughout my graduate counseling program, my professional identity has evolved from understanding counseling theories in an academic setting to applying them thoughtfully in clinical practice. My internship has been particularly transformative, allowing me to develop greater confidence in my clinical judgment, therapeutic relationships, ethical decision-making, and ability to adapt interventions to the individual needs of clients.
Working with adolescents, adults, and couples across different developmental stages and life circumstances has deepened my appreciation for the complexity of human experiences. I have learned the importance of looking beyond presenting symptoms to understand the relational, cultural, developmental, and environmental factors influencing each client. My work with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions has strengthened my commitment to a compassionate, trauma-informed, and systemic approach.
Clinical supervision has also been instrumental in my development. Through consultation, reflection, assessment, treatment planning, and direct client experience, I have become increasingly comfortable integrating evidence-based approaches while recognizing the importance of professional humility and continued learning.
As I transition from counselor-in-training toward professional licensure, I intend to pursue specialized training in EMDR and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I am particularly interested in serving veterans, military families, first responders, adolescents, and couples. My goal is to remain an ethical, culturally responsive, and lifelong learner who provides meaningful, individualized care while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
