Connection. Healing. Resilience.
Wellness & Self-Care
My approach to self-care is grounded in the understanding that effective counseling requires consistent emotional presence, regulation, and self-awareness. Working with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, and high emotional intensity requires me to be intentional about maintaining my well-being. Counselor wellness is essential to ethical practice, as self-care supports sound decision-making, professional responsibility, and healthy boundaries. I prioritize self-care through reflection, awareness of my emotional responses, and grounding strategies to remain present and non-reactive in session. I also support my well-being through mindfulness, spiritual practices, counseling, consultation, and physical and creative outlets such as massage, walking, yoga, reading, writing, singing, and music production, while maintaining balance and rest outside of my professional role. I view self-care as an ongoing ethical responsibility that allows me to provide consistent, attuned, and effective care to the clients I serve.
