Philosophy of Counseling

My counseling philosophy is grounded in a relational, client-centered, and trauma-informed framework. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for healing, and that meaningful change unfolds when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered within that relationship.

In my current family-based clinical setting, I draw from integrative, systemic approaches—including elements of FFT, EFT, SFT, and CBT—while remaining responsive to each client’s unique story, strengths, and goals. As my professional path continues to develop, I am especially drawn to trauma-focused work and intend to deepen my specialization in evidence-based approaches such as TF-CBT and EMDR. My work is guided by curiosity, cultural humility, and a deep respect for the resilience inherent in every individual.
